But it looks like accents used in Spanish and French work just like in a Word document (on a Mac, hold ALT+E, release, type i for an í). Another way to add special characters is to insert a Widget: Åëîöů, etc. Unfortunately I am only seeing European characters there. 进口量 时刻 合格发 Great, another way to do this is to change the keyboard language and type as you would normally. FYI those Pinyin characters and are random assortments of keys that I just typed and I have no idea what they say.
